Bodynamic system: history

Lisbeth Marcher,
founder of the Bodynamic System
Danish relaxation therapist Lisbeth Marcher developed the Bodynamic System in the seventies of the last century. After years of practice in the therapeutic field, Marcher came to the conclusion that a focus on merely thoughts, emotions and feelings is insufficient to solve psychological barriers and alter thinking patterns and defence mechanisms. She developed a new somatic method and connected developmental psychology to the motor system.
The prime assumption in the Bodynamic System is that psychological, social, emotional and motor development are connected. A focus in the Bodynamic System is to integrate these levels. We help clients to gain a new, altered understanding and feeling about themselves. Through bodily interventions we help people to recover from early developmental disorders, attachment difficulties and trauma’s.
